Happy Monday! I need to tell you this card should have. taken about 15 mins. It didn’t. It took over an hour. I was on the struggle bus and I am going to share my journey as I am sure most can relate. I needed something I could make into a quick card and I am LOVING the images in this month’s KOM Squeeze the Sweetness. I had in my head my design and I quickly colored up my image.
First thing that went awry was I colored outside of the lines in a few places. I tried to push back the orange bleeding into the blue with my BG11 marker and my O copic marker. Still didn’t look right.
I took a break from coloring to figure out how to fix this and embossed my background.
I wanted to add a splash of color to my background and used some Distress Spritz to ink it up.
Hmmm……I am not sure I like it. I embossed another background and kept it white to see what I preferred.
The white on white background won out. Now back to my messy image. I grabbed some chunky glitter and added it to cover up my oopsies. Looked good. Now I got fancy and added some glaze to my orange cream on my popsicle and it ran all over my glitter. Sigh. But you know what. It’s going to be fine LOL.
Here is my finished card. I like it! A fun Summer birthday card. The struggle was worth it LOL.
