Kindness Matters

This one is all about letting the paper and stamps shine. I chose a gorgeous pattern from Bohemian Dreams and Barefoot on the Porch paper packs with warm florals and built-in grungy texture. Then I layered on some stamping using dragonflies, texture stamps, and a sentiment to build that effortless mixed media vibe.

To finish it off, I added a die cut sentiment panel that brings in that pop of teal to balance the background. The scalloped edge frames the “Kindness matters” message, and a single yellow wooden button gives it a little vintage charm. Everything came together quickly thanks to the magic already in those supplies.

Creative Tips & Techniques

• Use Pattern Paper with Built-In Texture: It gives that distressed layered effect instantly.
• Stamp on Top for Depth: Add silhouette stamps like dragonflies to keep it bold and easy.
• Distress Edges with Ink: Pick shades that match your paper to add just the right amount of age.
• Add Splatters for Texture: Use inks or watered-down paint in colors that complement the paper to enhance that grungy vibe.
• Limit Embellishments: One well-placed button adds charm without distracting from the layered look.
