Playful Layers and Attitude

I wanted the kitty to have some playful layers behind him. I grabbed a bunch of my larger pieces of pattern paper from The Adventure Bee-gins paper pack and angled them down the card. Each piece is about 4.25″ by 3″. They are not exact, but having the full orange grid pattern behind the angled layers helps fill in those tiny gaps on the sides.

You know I love to stamp and color on pattern paper. This time, I used the text paper from the pack and then colored the kitty to match. I love that you can customize it to your grad’s school colors too.

Copic Colors:
Cat: N1, N3; BV34
Hat: N4, N6, N8, Y15, Y18
Diploma: N1, N3′ BV23, BV34

I die cut him and added a black mat with the Deckle & Stitches Nesting Dies. I thought about fussy cutting him out and adding the sentiment, but I really loved the idea of the patterned paper behind him.

Thank you for joining me today. I sincerely hope that today’s project inspires you. If you create something, feel free to tag me, @dahlhousedesigns, on social media as I would be thrilled to see it! Plus, join us in the Unity Show & Tell Facebook group to share your Unity creations. It is such a fun and loving group of creators.
