There’s just something about a sweet puppy with those big, hopeful eyes that instantly melts your heart, and this little cutie from the “Look Up Pup” stamp set by Unity Stamp Company totally stole mine!
This stamp set is absolutely amazing, it comes with the sweet image of the pup looking up, three sentiments and a sweet little butterfly too.
For today’s card, I wanted to create something warm, playful, and just a little bit interactive… so of course, I had to turn it into a shaker! I am obsessed with them!
I started by building my background using the “Timeworn Paws Anthology” 6×6 paper pack from Unity Stamp Company. This pattern is just perfect for a pet-themed card, those little bones and paw prints add so much personality without taking away from the focal image.
To frame my pup, I created a bold oval using Distress Ink in Lumberjack Plaid. I love how rich and vibrant this red is, it really makes everything pop and draws your eye right to that sweet face!
Instead of using acetate for my shaker window, I decided to switch things up and use vellum… and I am obsessed with the result!
The vellum gives the shaker a softer, dreamy look and slightly diffuses the sequins inside, which adds a unique touch compared to the traditional clear window.
For the shaker mix, I created my own blend using sequins from my stash, because let’s be honest, mixing your own is half the fun!
I colored this adorable pup with my Copic markers, focusing on soft shading and adding dimension to really bring him to life. Those eyes? Definitely the star of the show!
