Hi crafty friends!
Today I’m sharing a super fun fold that is not only interactive, but also perfect for showing off those gorgeous patterned papers we all love hoarding (no judgment here! hehe). I call this one a “belt card”, and trust me it’s as fun to make as it is to open!
For this card, I used the adorable stamp set “The Hoarding of Wildflowers” from Unity Stamp Company isn’t she just the sweetest? I colored the image with my Copic markers, keeping everything soft and cheerful to match the beautiful papers.
Speaking of papers… I paired it with the “Daisy Daydreams” paper pack, and wow! those florals totally steal the show when the card opens up!
To frame my image, I used the “BIG Scallops and Rectangles Nesting Dies”, which add just the right touch of dimension and polish.
This gorgeous stamp comes with the image of the old lady, plus four sweet sentiments.

and here she is….

This fold is such a fun twist on a traditional card!
The “belt” wraps around the card to keep it closed, and when you slide it off… surprise!
It opens up to reveal that stunning patterned paper inside.
I absolutely love this design because:
-It’s interactive without being complicated
-It highlights your designer paper beautifully (and we all know we want to show off those amazingly gorgeous Unity Stamp Company papers)
-It feels extra special when the recipient opens it
And let’s be honest… it’s also a great excuse to use more of our favorite paper collections.
I colored the image using Copic markers, going for a bright, happy palette:
-Soft pinks for her outfit
-Fresh greens for the grass
-Light blues for the sky
-And those sweet florals with pops of yellow and pink
I wanted everything to feel light, whimsical, and full of springtime joy.

Here are the measurements to recreate this belt card:

I also created a video so you can see exactly how this card comes together.
Be sure to check it out below and craft along with me….
This card was such a joy to create! I love how the fun fold + gorgeous papers + sweet stamped image all come together into something really special.
If you try this fold, I would LOVE to see what you make! Post to the Show and Tell Unity group here so I can cheer you on!!
