Hi Everyone! Welcome to the Make It Monday blog with me, Sarah. Today I’ll be sharing with you how to create an autumnal ink blended tag using the Unity Stamp Co. Acorn Almanac set from the August ’26 Background of the Month. Fall is right around the corner. It’s the time of year when I look forward to fairs and baked goods. The colors are warm and the cider donuts are enticing. Keep reading to see how you can create an autumn themed tag to add to your cards, gift baskets, and other goods.

Supplies:
- Unity Stamp Co. Acorn Almanac
- Part of the August ’26 Background of the Month
- Unity Stamp Co. Mice & Cozy
- Part of the August ’26 Kit of the Month
- Unity Stamp Co. Manila Tags (1 7/8 x 3 3/4″)
- Unity Stamp Co. Scallops & Banners {nesting dies}
- Distress Oxides
- Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Ripe Persimmon, Crackling Campfire, Aged Mahogany
- Black cardstock
- Gold cardstock
- White pigment ink
- Gold acrylic paint
- Black enamel dots
- Jute twine
- Sheer black ribbon
Tutorial:
Step 1: Stamp the Acorn Almanac image with black ink onto a manila tag.
Step 2: Ink blend autumnal colors across the tag with Distress Oxides. Sprinkle water on top to pick up some of the color.
Step 3: Water down gold acrylic paint, and spatter it onto the tag.
Step 4: Stamp one of the sentiments from the Mice & Cozy set in white pigment ink onto black cardstock. Trim with the smallest banner die from the Scallops & Banners {nesting dies}.
Step 5: Trim a piece of gold cardstock with the same banner die. Adhere to the sentiment banner off set from the bottom.
Step 6: Adhere the matted sentiment banner to the bottom of the tag with foam tape.
Step 7: Place black enamel dots across the tag.
Step 8: Tie jute twine through the tag hole. Tie a bow with black sheer ribbon around the jute twine.
I love using parts of a background stamp on smaller projects. It makes background stamps so versatile. You can also create multiple tags at once using different parts of the stamp.
