Hand-cut Snowman Card Scene

Hello and welcome to the Unity blog.  I’m Gaylynn. Have you tried hand-cutting your main image or focal point? Take a look at the process for this hand-cut snowman card scene. It makes the snowman pop against the background.

Additionally, the snow grounding was made with simple scissor cuts. The main focus of this project is the fun snowman and sentiment stamp set by Unity Stamp Company.

First, here is a look at the finished card.
Sentiment:  Wishing you a flurry of happy moments.

Here is a peek at the stamp set.

To create this look, stamp and color your snowman on white cardstock using marker-compatible ink. Also, stamp the sentiment next to the snowman. Next, hand-trim a snowdrift, leaving the snowman uncut.

Also, for added interest, prepare a dark cardstock sheet for dry embossing using an embossing folder plus splatter effects. Finally, trim the embossed panel to the size of your snowdrift. Plus, layer the background and the snowman panels to finish.

Here is another look at the finished card project.

Lastly, be sure to visit my other features here on the Unity Stamp Co. blog:

In closing, I hope you try this project and share your makes in the Unity Show & Tell Facebook Group.  Feel free to tag me so that I can see what you make.

Thanks so much for visiting.

Have a fabulous day,
Gaylynn
