Love or Anniversary Couple with a Banner Accent

Hello and welcome to the Unity blog.  I’m Gaylynn. One of the things I love to make for card accents are layered banners or flags. When you want to add a whimsical touch or simple card trimmings, consider adding a banner accent. Then, pair it with a stamp and sentiment.

The main focus is the darling couple and sentiment stamps. Solid and patterned paper banner layers are great complements. For die-cutting, I used sentiment banner dies and scallops & rectangles dies. The featured products are by Unity Stamp Company.

First, here is a look at the finished card.
Sentiment:  May every season bring you closer.

Next, see the photos of the process for creating this greeting card.

To begin, stamp the couple and sentiment onto the bottom right side of a white card front panel, using marker friendly ink. Leave room for the banner flags on the left side of the panel. Then, die-cut banners or flags and hearts from coordinating solid and patterned paper.

Also, this is a look at the last part of the process.

To finish the card, layer and assemble the banners and hearts whimsically using adhesive foam. Also, color in the couple using your favorite markers. I used alcohol markers.  Next, lightly ink blend the couple panel.  Then, mask the couple and lightly splatter the card front panel with black paint or ink.

Finally, layer everything over the card base, topped with the assembled banner on the top left side.

This is another look at the finished card.

In closing, I hope you try this project and share your makes in the Unity Show & Tell Facebook Group.  Feel free to tag me so that I can see what you make.

Thanks so much for visiting.

Have a fabulous day,
Gaylynn
