Merry Mission Mouse Holiday Monochromatic Card

Hello and welcome to the Unity blog.  I’m Gaylynn. Create a simple holiday mouse card made using monochromatic colors, simple stamping, die-cutting and marker coloring.

The main focus of this project is the sweet holiday mouse and Christmas tree. For die-cutting, I used banner dies, patterned paper and scallops & rectangles dies. The featured products are by Unity Stamp Company.

First, here is a look at the finished card.
Sentiment: May the season be filled with little joys.

Some of the tips for making this card include coordinating patterned paper, ink blending and marker colors. I chose soft mint shades of Copic markers along with gray and red. Also, choose different size and shape dies or cut files. I chose a banner die and a rectangle die for the cutting phase.

Next, stamp the mouse and sentiment on the banner layer. For a touch of pop, color the mouse scene in coordinating shades. Additionally, ink blend in min around the edges of all of the die-cuts. Finally, layer the background, the banner and lace trim over the card base, to finish.

This is another look at the finished card.

Gaylynn
