Hi everyone, Laurel here. I am sharing my altered notebook that will become my Fitness Journal. There is something about paper and pencil (and stamps 😉 ) that just feels better to me than documenting or keeping track digitally. Now don’t get me wrong, for the past year I have used my phone and apps and it has helped me lose 30 pounds…. but after a year, I am needing more motivation so here it is.
I had a blank notebook and of course had to pretty it up. The first thing I did was stamp the Ruler Background for the main cover. Since I usually run, the Renee Girl was a must. I paper pieced her and mounted her on foam squares. Of course this was almost the last thing I added.
I also used the {aBOUT} the inches stamp set, so many great sets in this for this type of thing. I stamped and layered a couple of the sentiments and added some stitching for added detail.
Next up, to carry out the theme, I LOVE – as I have said before, love anything stationary related, so the You Can Do Anything SMAK kit is one of my favorites – complete with coffee ring 🙂
I stamped the ‘daily journal’ image as a stubtle background.
Finally, to create the sentiment circle, I used the circle from the Now and Then SMAK kit. I added another sentiment from the {aBOUT} the inches set along with some stickers. Now those numbers… from the Tiny Number Tags set. What are they? Well, I am working on losing 20 more pounds.
So, now that I’ve put this out there… you will hold me accountable right?! 😉
Stay tuned, as I intend to incorporate some Unity stamps on the inside as well.
Now I’m curious? What do you prefer for this type of thing digital (for the record, I love my Fitbit and the LoseIt apps) or a pen to paper journal? Join us in the Facebook group and let me know your thoughts!
