Hello, it’s Gaylynn here with another installment of my Watercolor Wednesday series. Today, I am sharing a set of gold embossed watercolor gift tags.
These gold embossed watercolor handmade tags are ready to be added to a gift bag, gift box, wine bottle, etc. I used stamping along with heat embossing and Sakura Koi watercolors.

Hello Lovely by Gina K Designs
For this project, I made a quick video tutorial for the gift tags. It includes instructions along the way throughout the video. However, a written process follows below.

(See also the video tutorial for this project.)
Prepare watercolor paper for heat embossing by adding powder prior to stamping. I used an EK Success powder tool.
Each are stamped and embossed in gold on each of the trimmed gift tags. They were heat set prior to adding watercolor.
Add a watercolor background by painting over the embossed areas. I mixed colors to get light pink and gray shades.
I used Sakura Koi watercolors for these gift tags.
To remove puddles or lighten areas, remove watercolor using a damp brush or blot with a paper towel, optional.
Add a second layer of color toward the center, if you want.
Heat set and then assemble.
Here is another look at these gift tags.

Catch me next Wednesday with a new project for Unity’s Watercolor Wednesday. Thanks so much for visiting.
Wishing you a sunny day.
