Hi everyone, Laurel here again with more of my favorites…. flowers! Although I don’t use flowers often in my designs, I love flowers and today I am sharing a floral card.
The flower is from the Free your Dreams KOTM (May 2017). Now I am generally not one to color, I tend to do way more paper piecing but I decided to try something new. Besides… for someone who doesn’t color, I have amassed quite the copic collection and they were calling to me 😉
Many of my cards are bulky and cost extra to mail, so I like that this one is what I call postal friendly.
After stamping the flowers on the panel I colored them in. I then also stamped them on some scrap cardstock. I fussy cut them out – which is very easy when you have good micro tip scissors. I then ran them through my Xyron with repositionable adhesive and adhered over top of my colored image.
I then used the script background from the Happy Little Moments (July 20-15 SMAK) and stamped over the top. I wanted a little more interest, so I used the honeycomb from the Spring Inspired (March 2014 LOL) to stamp at the bottom of the image.
Finally, I stamped and embossed the sentiment from Free Your Dreams set.
A little bit of washi tape for more interest and the card was done. Quite simple to do and I love that it will be inexpensive to mail as my favorite kinds of cards to create and send are just because ones.
What about you, what is your favorite type of card to create?
