Hello, it’s Gaylynn here with another installment of my Watercolor Wednesday series. Today, I am sharing an owl card with sponge watercolor.
This sweet owl card includes a background made from sponge watercolor, paper trimming and a peek-a-boo word accent.
Sentiment: May all your wishes come true today and always. Wish.

For this project, I made a quick video tutorial for this sponge watercolor card. It includes instructions along the way throughout the video. However, a written process follows below.
Sponge Watercolor Owl Card ~ Distress Oxide Ink

(See also the video tutorial for this project.)
Stamp and trim the owl panel. I added die-cut letters to make a see-through wish word.
For the background, apply distress oxide ink to a plastic craft mat. Spritz with water.
Loosely, sponge one color at a time. I used two colors: peeled paint & faded jeans.
Add a second layer of each color if you want to.
Trim off the top portion of the owl panel to add interest and depth.
Adhere the layers to finish.
Here is another look at the owl sponge card.

Wishing you a sunny day.
