Hi all and welcome back to another Step it out Thursday!. I love making cards but sometimes I just want to do something different.
I first saw this Easy Pull up Card on Pinterest and knew I had to give it a try. The Instructions come form JK Arts.
Kits used:
I want you to know
Imperfection is beauty
You are important
I want you to know
To make this card you will need 4 pieces of 2″X 12″ Cardstock for your Concertina strips.
Score along the 12″ side at 2″, 4″, 6″, 8″, and 10″
you will then need 20 pieces of 1.3/4 X 1.3/4 paper to place on top.
1 piece of 6.1/4 X 6.1/4 cardstock for the base I chose to match my strips.
1 piece of 6X6 of pattern paper to layer on the top of your base.
2 pieces of 7/8 X 3. 1/4 strips to hold your card at the top together.
small circle die cuts at the top to hold your ribbon at the top
I glued the 20 pieces of 1.3/4 X 1.3/4 paper on before I started to assemble my Concertina.
To glue the strips on I flipped my piece upside down on the 6X6 pattern paper .
I found I had more control to get things lined up right.
Then I flipped it over and glued on my base.
The 2 pieces of 7/8 stripes I glued them together first then glued them down under the strips at the top of the strips. Don’t over glue, they will stick and then wont open.
I punched a hole in my circles and put my ribbon through to hang it. I added twine and glued on butterflies to it.
I added some fun uplifting sentiments to it. There you go. That’s how I created it. No this is not my original idea, but I added some fun twists to it.
I haven’t colored this one up this one up in awhile. Phyllis Harris has such a way of making you fall in love with her drawings. This one reminds me so much of when I was a little girl.
