Hello, it’s Gaylynn here with another installment of my Watercolor Wednesday series. This is a way to add sparkle to watercolor projects using gold foil and glitter accents.
For this project, I am sharing watercolor holly leaves with touches of gold foil and glitter accents. I also used the Altenew watercolor 36 half pans set. With the large background stamping and the big sentiment, this was easy to create.
The gold foil shines much more in person.
Sentiment: Merry Christmas.

I made a quick video tutorial for this. It includes instructions along the way throughout the video. However, a written process follows below.
Gold Foil, Glitter and Watercolor Christmas Card

(See also the video tutorial for this project.)
Stamp onto watercolor paper with waterproof ink. Prepare your color palette with a mix of color choices.
To avoid color blending, dry between colors, especially with detailed stamping.
For watercolor, I used Altenew Watercolor 36 half pans. I layered colors and then heat set.
Preheat a laminator. Trim gold deco foil pieces. Dab a deco foil adhesive pen lightly over stamped sections that you want to foil.
Allow the glue to dry. Gently place the foil pieces over the glue sections. Heat between folded paper with a laminating machine.
Remove the foil sheets. Add a die-cut glitter frame and then assemble the card.
Here is another look.

Catch me next Wednesday with a new project for Unity’s Watercolor Wednesday. Thanks so much for visiting.
Wishing you a wonderful day.
