Hello Friends!
It’s Mandi here with another Mix It Up post for you today.
The first signs of Autumn are here in Scotland already!
Yesterday I sat at my window, watching golden yellow leaves dance through the air
as they fell from my tree in the garden.
They were so pretty!
They inspired me to make this Autumn card.
I dug out all of my Fall themed stamps and had a wee rummage through them.
I found the Give Thanks stamp set.
The leaves with text stamp caught my eye, I thought they would make a pretty background.
To make my card I started off with a piece of white card.
I stamped a few leaves randomly on the card using Versamark ink.
Then I used some white embossing powder over the top and heat set it with my heat tool.
Next I took three different colours of Brusho – Yellow, Orange & Scarlet.
I sprinkled them on the card and then sprayed some water and let all of the colours mix together.
Then I used my heat tool to dry that off.
I love the way that Brusho produces a lovely organic pattern and it really makes those leaves pop.
If you are not familiar with Brusho they are small pots of watercolour powders.
I ran the card through my die cutting machine using my Stitched Rectangle Die to create that nice border.
Then I made the sentiment by stamping with Versamark ink on to a strip of black card.
Then used white embossing powder over the top and heat set that with my heat tool.
I used some foam tape to adhere that to the card.
I then glued the card to a white base to finish.
I really love the way it turned out.
Fall cards are my absolute favourite cards to make.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
