Hello, it’s Gaylynn here with another installment of my Watercolor Wednesday series. Here is a way to combine a simple vintage watercolor background with heat embossing.
This card features colorful heat embossed leaves over a simple vintage watercolor background. I used ivory watercolor paper along with brown and yellow watercolors to bring out an aged look to the center section. For the leaves, I used Clearsnap ColorBox ink in three colors, along with clear embossing powder for heat embossing. See the full tutorial and video, below.

I made a quick video tutorial for this. It includes instructions along the way throughout the video. However, a written process follows below.

(See also the video tutorial for this project.)
Stamp onto watercolor paper with Clearsnap ColorBox ink in three colors.
Heat emboss the stamping with clear embossing powder.
For the background, add a water layer.
Then dab brown into the puddles. Allow the color to move and blend.
Blot with a paper towel to pick up excess puddles. Heat set.
Repeat with yellow watercolor.
Trim or die-cut two border pieces to frame the watercolor panel.
To finish, add adhesive pearls and then assemble the card.
Here is another look.
