Hi there my Unity friend! Thanks for spending your Tuesday with me. Today on the blog we have a way to extend the life and use of your smaller Unity stamps by using them within a frame and embossing them. Of course, this post is about a color combo, so in honor of fall, I am using gold and a gorgeous green.
The stamp sets used for this card are Special Wishes (the butterfly and sentiment). Also using the smaller images from In My Garden.
To make this card, I began by creating a frame by die cutting a rectangle from a scrap piece of paper. Then I angled it, and washi taped the frame to my surface.
The first step is to stamp the sentiment, then stamp around it, by filling in the spaces with the smallest of stamps.
Then, using the gold embossing powder on the entire stamped images and heat setting.
Place the frame back to the stamped images and splatter with gold paint or watercolor to fill in where the stamps were too big.
To finish up add a gold embellishment of jewels or sequins. I used jewels and adhered them with Nuvo drops.
This technique is easy and fast enough to make sets of cards in different color cardstocks. I of course made a video while I made this card. So please do check it out.
Thanks, so much taking time, I hope to see what little stamps you use on your framed projects.
