Hello everyone. Have you had a chance to play along with the New Beginnings challenge this month? There’s still time to make a card and enter it in the Show and Tell Facebook group.
Today it’s all about new beginnings in the work place. Whether it’s a new job or finally reaching retirement, it’s a wonderful reason to celebrate with your friends and family.
My first card celebrates getting a new job.
I love the great big sentiments in the set Say it Big. So I grabbed the Congrats stamp and inked it with Versafine Clair Nocturne. I cut it out with a stitched die and matted it with a tiny black border. I also stamped You Did It! from the same set and cut a banner.
The background was just done in Word. I typed ‘ON THE NEW JOB’ over and over and printed it out. I cut that out with a stitched die from the same set and matted it with black as well. This is quick, easy card that can be done in any color combination.
My second card celebrates retirement.
I used the January 2020 Kit of the Month, You Are Enough-New Beginnings. I was so excited to get it for this challenge. I stamped the couch and colored it up with my Copics.
I typed Retirement is… in Word and printed it out. “The best time for new beginnings” sentiment is from this same stamp set. I carefully masked off the bottom line that says “is now” so I could use it for this card.
This month is still the New Beginnings Challenge.
It can be any life event from new baby, job or new attitude. I hope you can play along and build your stash of cards at the same time. I am looking forward to seeing what you share.
All you need to do is create a card for the theme and enter it in the album on the Unity Show and Tell Facebook page.
