Hi Crafty friends! It is Natasha and I am super excited to be back with you today to celebrate our Thursday Challenge – All Things Fall! I love seeing your beautiful projects and how we inspire each other! Be sure to share your cards with us over on the Unity {show & tell} Facebook group page and add them to our Fall themed album! So let’s get started! For today’s card I am using the Letting Go stamp set! I love this large leaf and had so much fun creating my own background!
I started by stamping the large leaf onto Canson XL watercolor cardstock. I stamped the image using Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink, then heat set the image using clear embossing powder. I repeated this process for all 3 of the leaves. I then taped the image onto a hard board to prevent warping of the paper. I watercolored the leaves using my Tombow Dual Brush Pens. I work in layers and allow each layer to dry before adding more color.
Once my watercolor was complete (the leaves), I watercolored around the leaves using my Gansai Tambi watercolors. I used 2 shades of blue, as well as a gold around the leaves.
To add a bit more interest and sparkle, I added metallic water colors and splattered my card panel, as well as added gold to the centers of the leaves. Next I die cut the word (blessed) from the Blessed & Happy Everything (stamp and die set). I die cut the word 3 times for added dimension and glued them together. I chose a sentiment from the Difficult Roads stamp set. To complete the card I trimmed the panel using a rectangle die, then adhered it to a brown card base. I added a few gems from Gina Marie Designs.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a great week! Be sure to link up your gorgeous cards in the Unity {show & tell} Facebook group page.
Crafty Hugs,
Natasha
