Happy Friday! I hope you’re all ready for an inky weekend! This is Julissa of Paper Gems by Jules on the blog today sharing a quick video featuring two new things to add to your collection of crafty goodness:
- 2 Step Wreath Stamp Set: Love that Unity has figured out a really easy way to do layered stamping with red rubber stamps. In all honesty, I didn’t think it was going to match up well so you’ll see in the video me checking a thousand times if the registers line up, but it really is easy!
- Adhesive Transfers: Um… yeah, you need these! It’s basically a sticky rub-on that you can foil. And yes, it’s as easy as it sounds!
I had watched Whitney’s example using the 2 Step Wreath on her Live and felt inspired. But I thought, how would this look using Karin Brushmarker Pros? 🤔 Now, if you’re not familiar with Karin Brushmarkers, they are watercolor brush pens with a tip similar to the Copic markers brush ti. You can use them like watercolors, but for today, I’ll show you how I used them to stamp.
I started with the leaves in the Curry colored marker. I placed my stamp where I wanted on the card piece. Using the Karin marker, I brushed the ink onto one of the four bunches of leaves and stamped it. You’ll see in the video that it sits like watercolor with more of an organic edge to the leaves. For the flowers layer, I positioned it over the first layer and then used the Soft Peach Karin Marker over the first bundle of flowers and before stamping, took the darker marker, Rose Pink, and color just the lower part of the flower. With both colors on the stamp, I pressed it into the paper and Magic!
For the Adhesive Transfer sentiments… it’s so easy. Let’s just go to the video to see how to use both of these fun new products.
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you found some inspiration. Let’s celebrate Unity’s birthday and pick up some great gifts for yourself!
Until next time… Happy Crafting!
