Hi Unies,
I know Summer people may be saying we have a few weeks left, but us fall lovers are gearing up for what I think is the best season of all. Today, for those of you itching to start fall makes I thought I’d share what I like to call a Spoopy card. it’s Halloween but cute.
The Details!
Lets start with the background! I used Unitys News Print greetings, Taking a 6×6 stencil and focused on the area I wanted the bats, don’t worry to much about it being perfect. you can leave it like I did, or use a Q-Tip and clean it up. Set this aside to dry.
I then focused on the moon which was kind of a wet mess, but ohhhh so fun. Using Tims Mica stains in Unraveled, Fallen Acorn and Phantom Mist I just sprayed it all over a circle of bristol smooth. After that dried I used Tims moon stencil with black to add the moon details, IRL it’s supper shimmery and really fun!
For the ghost I was inspired by Angie Bloms card using this Ghostly Bat Ensemble, and copied her look with the grey and antique linen distress ink, it is embossed for the added texture. Once it was all dry I assembled and gave a couple squirts of Jack O Lantern to pull in the orange. Little tip foam take does not stick well to the texture of the bats, so use a little wet glue on them!
I hope this card puts you in the mood to start your fall makes, I happen to love fall and Halloween cards they are the colors I love so much! If you get a chance to play along with this months Stencil challenge, please add it to the album over on the Show N Tell group on Facebook.
Happy Crafting,
Dawn Bryson
