Hello! It’s Noelle posting today, thank you for swinging by!
For this card, I am using an actual shaker die from Queen & Co called B-Day Squares. These are super convenient. They come with precut foam, acetate and base. You punch the foam out and cut that up later for other cards! I picked out 3 sheets from the Rainbow Vibes paper pack and some matching cardstock scraps.
I cut it all out!
Sorry, this picture is so awkward LOL I didn’t realize it until the card was complete! It’s important to cut a base the same color as your card and glue it down using liquid glue so you can move it a little. That is my giant Prima block that I use to weigh down things while they dry.
Then the fun stuff starts to happen! I hope y’all craft as messy as I do. I can’t do it neatly. I just can’t seem to put a single thing away. Pretty soon, I am out of room and piling things on the floor! LOL So I stamped and embossed on whatever struck my fancy! I had big plans to put some Nuvo glitter on the candle flames! But the time for drying was not in my plans and as you will see below, sometimes my assistant is ‘helping’ me and wet Nuvo and his tail never work out well LOL
The candles are from Snarky Birthday Greetings and the rest are from Extended Celebration!
I glued everything down and stuck the foam down, I also put glue on it, even though it is sticky, again so I could move it a little bit.
Next, I poured in different varieties of shaker/sequin mixes, which is always fun to do!
I peeled off the tape and a cat hair landed right on it! There was no getting it off either so I just laid the acetate down as carefully as I could. I can’t find a glue that works with acetate, it keeps popping right off! I used a glue dot in each corner to attach the cover and cover the cat hair LOL
Here is my handsome assistant that adds his personal touches to everything I do! When I see people post “comes from a pet free home” I think, WOW! What’s that like? No hair in your projects? Chapstick? Eyelashes? LOL
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you will come join us over on the Unity Show & Tell FaceBook page. There are prizes!!!
