Hello! It’s Noelle hosting again this month and I am excited!
November’s theme is Slimline and Shapes!
If you don’t like making a slimline card, make a card in any shape you want but a typical rectangle! Slimline card sizes are most commonly 3 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, 3 5/8″ x 8″ and 4″ x 9″.
Remember in elementary school when you used to fold a piece of construction paper in half and then cut out half of the heart and unfold it and tah-dah there was a whole heart? You can use that exact same idea with any die in your stash. Just slide the die off the edge of the crease of your paper and tape it down so it doesn’t slide in your die cut machine. Is that clear as mud? LOL I will show more on this next week!
Today I used the wavy slimline die from Rubbernecker. It is a very thick and nice die, but there is only one tiny hole to push the paper out, and I had a tough time getting this thick glittery My Mind’s Eye cardstock out of it LOL I made a pencil mark on all 4 sides of each punch out so I knew where to stamp.
I used Paper Wings and it is such a beautiful set! I stamped and embossed in all 4 sections.
Here is a close up of the pencil marks and mostly the butterfly legs. CAN YOU EVEN STAND HOW CUTE THEY ARE??? I did erase my pencil marks but I think they might have been covered.
I ran out of my thin lined foam tape and my back up in a different brand and thinner. So this hole has to be there! Not sure how I will sleep tonight. LOL
I sprayed it all down with this beautiful shimmer spray. The pictures just don’t do it justice!
I hit it with my heat gun and then flattened it with my big stamp block.
I stuck down some sequins with glue dots to make it look like a shaker card sort of and called it done! It was fun to make and easy! I hope you will join us over on our Facebook Show and Tell page for this months challenge! There will be gift cards for prizes! See you over there!
