Hello, Gaylynn here. Thanks for visiting. Today, I am featuring a watercolor sympathy trees card with a dry embossed background. This was made using the new clear stamps from Unity Stamp Company. I share a way to mix watercolor with dry embossing in simple card layering.
Note, that for this project, I used Unity’s clear stamp set. Rubber stamps are also available for the same lovely effect.
Helpful tips:
In summary, to make this watercolor sympathy trees card, prepare an A2-sized card base in white. Then, trim a small rectangle from watercolor paper and a frame layer for it in green. Also, trim an ivory cardstock panel a bit smaller than the card base. Next, dry emboss a background panel onto the ivory piece using an embossing folder and a die-cutting & embossing machine. Then, stamp trees onto the smooth side of the small rectangle of watercolor paper and use a waterproof ink pad for stamping. Next, add watercolor over that panel in shades of green and yellow. Also, stamp the sentiment onto another piece of cardstock. Heat set the stamping. Finally, layer it all onto the card base, to finish.
Also, here is a look at the card with the clear stamp set.
And, this is a closer look.
Finally, see this quick video process below.
