Hello, Gaylynn here. Thanks for visiting. Today, I am sharing a sweet highland cow card with simple layers and die-cuts plus an uplifting message.
This project shows an easy way to add accents with stamps, dies and patterned paper layers.
Helpful tips:
-
Prepare an A2 sized card base, 4 1/4″ x 5.5″ folded.
-
Trim or die-cut a card background panel from patterned paper.
-
Stamp the highland cow and the sentiment onto two pieces of white cardstock using black alcohol-friendly ink.
-
Color the cow using Copic markers or your favorite coloring tools. Also, add ink blending and masking.
-
Trim or die-cut the sentiment.
-
Die-cut the cow using an arch die. Also, die-cut another arch in black to frame the cow layer. Adhere and add twine.
-
For a top border, die-cut brown patterned paper using a large circle die that is cut in half.
-
Adhere the background paper panel using flat double-sided tape.
-
Layer the top border, the cow panel and the sentiment label over the background, to finish.
This is another look at the card.
