Baby Card Trio and Matching Envelopes

Good morning! I’m back today for the weekly Monday feature for me here on the Unity Stamp Company Blog! So happy to be featuring the AMAZING Unity Kit of the Month set on Mondays here on the blog. These kits are always AMAZING, and they hold a special place in my heart since they were the first thing I purchased from Unity, and what got me hooked on Unity to begin with. Who DOESN’T love getting a happy package of stamps in the mail every month, right? And these kits just keep getting better and better. You can read all the details and info to sign up HERE, and see this month’s kit as well.

Today I’m sharing a trio of sweet baby cards – and since I like to have cards in my stash, and you never know if you need a boy, girl (or unknown!) color combo, I often make one of each to have on hand. I’m also sharing a simple way to coordinate your envelope to your card!

Here is the video for today’s cards:

I really like to have cards in my stash – ready and waiting for when I need them and don’t have time to sit and create one at that moment. Baby cards are one of those cards that are so nice to have prepared in advance. And…since you never know if you will need one specific to a boy or girl – or more neutral for those people that like to wait and be surprised! – I often make them in sets of 3 to cover one of each of those necessities. This design was perfect to create multiples of, especially with the help of a MISTI to make it easy.

It was also fun to use a pattern paper pad that was fairly specifically designed for fall, and re-purpose some of the more neutral and simple pages as backgrounds for these baby cards.

Heat embossing the sentiments on black cardstock to pop up on foam adhesive is the perfect bold pop to make those sentiments stand out, as well as give just a touch of dimension to these otherwise flat cards.

Leaving the image simple and uncolored also speeds up the process and makes it easier to whip all of these out in quick succession.

And finally – coordinating the envelopes to the cards is a super fun finishing touch. By combining the image with the colors for each card, you can make the entire card pull the envelope into the design as well!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope to see you back here next week – have a wonderful week!

Polka Dot Graphic Coloring

Good morning! I’m back today for the weekly Monday feature for me here on the Unity Stamp Company Blog! So happy to be featuring the AMAZING Unity Kit of the Month set on Mondays here on the blog. For today’s card I’m sharing an easy clean and graphic way to add a pop of color to your cards and stamped images, without having to actually do any coloring!

Here is the video for today’s card:

I loved this bright fresh color combo! It is Dried Marigold, Worn Lipstick, and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide inks.

I created my own stencil for this using a basic circle die from Simon Says Stamp – you could use any size or shape you wanted!

Trimmed that panel down, matted with black cardstock, and mounted with foam on my cardbase.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope to see you back here next week – have a wonderful week!

Today’s card features some simple coloring with Copic markers, lots of pretty pattern paper layers, and a fun bow trick that I’ve used before, but still love to share!

Here is the video for today’s card:

In the video today, I share how I did my super simple and easy coloring on this lovely image – the artwork on this image in particular, does all the work for adding shading and such. Just follow what the artist already did!

I also share my super simple trick for a perfect bow – I love using this, and have shared it before, but I figure it never hurts to share this one again!

And finally – isn’t that pattern paper just dreamy?!? I love layering pattern paper together – and it’s the perfect way to use up your leftover scraps!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope to see you back here next week – have a wonderful week!

Torn Edges and Embellishment Cluster

Good morning! I’m back today for the weekly Monday feature for me here on the Unity Stamp Company Blog! So happy to be featuring the AMAZING Unity Kit of the Month set on Mondays here on the blog. Today’s card features a fun little sentiment that becomes “punny” when paired up with this image, and some pattern paper layering with a fun embellishment cluster!

Here is the video for today’s card:

I somehow couldn’t resist putting this image with this sentiment – it just cracked me up!

I created this fun little embellishment cluster using part of a doily, some washi tape, some jute string, and a couple little mini staples to hold it all together.

Lots of yummy pattern paper from Carta Bella makes a beautiful backdrop to the simple image and sentiment on this card – no coloring required, since there is lots of color in the pattern paper!

And that’s it! Super fun and easy card!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope to see you back here next week – have a wonderful week!
