Never easier just better

One Stamp Card | Stamped Paper Piecing | Clean and Simple Card

Hi there! Crystal Thompson here with this very cool and simple technique to use with your favorite color combination! Today’s color combo is a set of very bright tones. I am using hot pink, light pink, mint, and fabulous lime green. The whole thing gets toned down by a simple khaki. I felt this color combo is totally spring, yet it is very clean.

For this card you will need the following:

NEVER EASIER JUST BETTER

TRUST IT WILL BE OK

  • White Cardstock
  • Foam Adhesive
  • 4 colors of Ink
  • White Nuvo Drops

To make this card we will begin by stamping the floral image from NEVER EASIER JUST BETTER  onto cardstock using the four very bright colors. Once that is done begin by fussy cutting the image outline. You can select what pieces of the card you want to use or not. Add some foam adhesive on the back and set aside.

Next, on your white card panel stamp the floral image again from the EVER EASIER JUST BETTER   with the khaki color. This will be the base where all the rest of the florals are attached. Before you put the ink away stamp the sentiment from TRUST IT WILL BE OK and create a small banner.  Then add foam adhesive to the back of that too!

Now to put the whole thing together?! Start by placing the largest piece of the stamped paper piecing, then add the rest of the pieces we stamped using foam adhesive.

Add the sentiment strip off to the left of the card. Embellish with tiny White Nuvo drops around the florals to add some dimension and contrast.

I really like the way this card turned out, and it is a great way to use a cluster floral stamp such as this. I have a tutorial video on how I put this clean and simple card.

Thanks!

Crystal

Mirror Tool Technique – Distress Ink and White Paint

Good morning! Heather here with the final episode in my three part series of different techniques featuring the Unity Mirror Stamping Tool! This week may be my favorite of all the different effects I’ve gotten with this tool! I’m topping these backgrounds off with an image and sentiment from Never Easier Just Better.

Here is this week’s video showing how I created this effect on these cards:

I love the variation and tone difference you get with the mixture of the white paint and distress ink refills – sort of a soft marbling!

I mention this in the video as well, but do make sure to give plenty of time for your background to dry before adding your stamping over the top. And once you’ve stamped, give it a few minutes to dry as well so you don’t smudge your stamped image.

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!
