Simple Stories

Fitness Journal- Tracking Progress Using Stamps

Hi everyone, remember my fitness journal/planner that I posted last week – you can see it here.  Well today I am sharing my 2 page spread for tracking my weight loss.

Prior to adding anything to the pages, I stamped the criss cross background from the Do What We Love SMAK kit.  It gives a nice subtle background interest to the pages.  That’s one thing I love about the SMAK kits, the stamps can be used in so many ways.

Do you see the Renee Girl again 🙂  Of course she had to be included.  I also added a couple of quotes to the pages because…. well… quotes… I love them!  These ones are from the Jane girl stamp set. To create the number tracking system I have used the Tiny NumberTags.  I just stamped them on pattern paper (Simple Stories Posh), cut them out and adhered using the washi tape.

Now for the ‘milestones’ (5, 10, 15 and of course 20) I have added a little more oomph to them by adding a die cut star behind the numbers.  I will of course, reward myself with a little something at each milestone (more to come on that with next week’s pages 🙂 )

The papers I used (Simple Stories) came with some fun add ons and I wanted to include them for some interest.  I tied them on with some twine.  Carrying out the star/celebration theme, I stamped some stars from the Epic Moments and Just Plain Happy SMAK kits.

In case you want to know how I will track it?  I have punched out 20 little black stars from cardstock.  I have them inside the glassine bag that I have tucked between the pages.  I will just adhere them as I go.

Now here is the spread one more time. I will be starting in April so wish me luck 🙂

Thanks for visiting today.  What would you use the Tiny Number Tags for?  Let me know in the Facebook Group

Susan Weckesser Stamps and Guest Designer Erika Taylor

We all have our mentors and favorite artists in this great community of ours don’t we? People that inspire us, build us up, and help us become better! Well, I’m here today to let you know that Susan Weckesser and Angela Magnuson are two of mine. These two ladies have hearts of gold, are the real deal and uplift me every day.

Hello everyone, Erika Taylor here today sharing a layout I created with some amazing Susan Weckesser stamps from Unity. These stamps are wonderful to work with, and I want to show you a layout that is all about the stamps and embossing powder.

For this layout, I used a combination of A Little Bit Washi, ABC 123 Washi, Insta-Cute and a co-branded Simple Stories Set called Splatters and Stars. I embossed all the images using Wow embossing powder and everything came together using Helmar Adhesives. Here are a few close ups of the layout.

Yes, that is a cheese head you see. My husband is a huge Packers fan, and our son thought this “hat” was too fun!!!

And here is the final project, full of Susan Weckesser stampy goodness!!!

If you love creating mixed media projects of any sort, these stamps are
AMAZING!!!! Check them out and grab a few of your favorites from the
store. You will be so glad you did.

Thanks so much for stopping by the Unity Blog today, I hope you all enjoy your Monday. Leave a comment and let me know what your favorite Susan Weckesser stamp from Unity is!

Until next time
Toodles
Erika Taylor

Itty Bitty Monday

Hello Unity friends!  Welcome to the start of another new week.  Jen Roach here and today I have a few cards to share with you that I created with a few Itty Bitty stamps from my “to use” pile and some Authentique papers.

For the first card I heat embossed the people image with some WOW! Embossing powder.  I added a sticker sentiment across the bottom and some baker’s twine across the top.

Then with the scraps from the first card I whipped up this second card with another Itty Bitty set.  I paper pieced the yo-yo image and added some texture and grunge with a Tim Holtz embossing folder.  It’s hard to tell from the photo but I added a bit of Glossy Accents glue to the center heart and the star accent on the bow.

Supplies (people card):
Stamps: Itty Bitty Sweet Paper Pals set from Unity Stamp Co.
Ink: Versamark (for heat embossing)
Papers: Authentique Celebrate Line
Accessories: WOW! Embossing powder, The Twinery twine, Stamping Up notebook edge punch, SRM sticker sentiment, Glossy accents

Supplies (yo-yo):
Stamps: Itty Bitty I’m Here set from Unity Stamp Co.
Ink: Versafine black ink
Papers: Authentique Celebrate line
Accessories:  Offray Ribbon, Sizzix embossing folder (Tim Holtz), Glossy accents
