Silhouette Cat Card with Silver Metallic Stamping

Hi friends.  Today, I am sharing a silhouette cat card using silver metallic stamping.  The cat stamp looks more intense on the black cardstock.

I paired the dark stamped panel with a bright lime green background frame for extra pop.

Sentiment:
May your day be as wonderful as you are.

Helpful Tips:
In summary, to create this cat themed card using silver metallic stamping, pre-trim or die-cut smooth black cardstock and a green frame layer.  Then, onto the black panel, stamp the cat using a stamp position tool like the Misti.  Stamp 3 times in the same spot using juicy silver metallic ink.  (Optional:  heat emboss the cat in silver.)  Next, to set the stamping, spray the silver panel lightly with a workable fixative spray, like Kyron.  **Spray outdoors because of the the chemicals.**  Once set, layer the panels onto the card base.  Finally, add embellishment dots like green Nuvo drops or gems, to finish.

This is another look.

Here is a look at this card making process.

Finetec pearlescent colours watercolor on black watercolor paper ~ rose stamping.

Hello, it’s Gaylynn.  Today, on the Unity blog, I am sharing watercolor on black watercolor paper with rose embossed stamping.  I used new to me Finetec pearlescent colours for watercolor this time.

I love the richness and vibrant results using metallic or pearlescent watercolor on black watercolor paper.  This effect shimmers beautifully in person.

Sentiment:  Sending you flowers on your birthday.

I made a quick video tutorial HERE showing the process for this project.

This is a closer look.

Helpful tips:

These are helpful tips for using watercolor on black watercolor paper.  To begin, apply powder with an antistatic tool then stamp and heat emboss the rose and leaves onto black watercolor aqua style paper.  Also, stamp and trim a border and a sentiment.  Next, add a couple of water droplets over the individual watercolor pans that you want to use, before watercoloring.  Then, using a narrow brush, begin adding color over the stamping.  Do this in one or more colors for the look that you want.  Next, allow dry time or heat set the watercolor.  Also, fussy cut (cut out) the stamped flower pieces.  Finally, layer the trimmed panels and the flower pieces onto the card, to finish.

Here is a look at the metallic or pearlescent shimmer detail on this card.

Multi-Tone Stamping on White and Black {CAS Cards with Whit}

Hello everyone! It’s Whit here with a fun technique I am excited to share with you!

So recently I discovered the magic of stamping one image repeatedly in multiple colors. The effect is magical. The colors sort of combine together to create a unique stamped image each and every time.

The best part?

No coloring necessary!

Don’t get me wrong- I love coloring- but my passion is STAMPING. And I love it when I can create fun cards with simple stamping techniques.

Anywho- Let’s jump right into this. I hope you’ll love it!

The kits that I will be using today are:
Feather Soft Love
You Can and You Will

I seriously adore both of these kits.

The feathers are amazing for cards, journals, and tags. And as you can see– they are so detailed that they can simply be stamped to create a stunning creation that will wow.

This sentiment kit is a MUST if you love sending uplifting stuff.  I DO try to encourage the people around me to achieve greatness and grow (and also surround myself with people who challenge me to do the same!). So this kit was an obvious choice cause these sentiments are right up my alley.

Here is the video showing how I created these cards:

And what would any blog post be like without those close up pictures one last time… hehe

I cannot decide which I like better– the white or the black.. how about you?

The final touch-  I have to finish off every card I make by using my custom stamp on the back. This one was gifted to me by Angie Blom. She drew this image of Cheeto (the Unity kitty) and I… Check it out cause I’m obsessed.

Thank you Angie Blom & Magnuson Custom Stamps ????

If this creation inspired you be sure to share it with me on the Unity {Show & Tell} on Facebook!

Thank you so much for hanging out with me today and taking the time to check out my post! I hope you have a great day- Happy Stamping!

XOXO,
