Elegant Handmade Card with the Hand in Hand Stamp Set | Unity Stamps March Kit

Hello crafty friends, it’s Rick back with you again today I am sharing a simple but elegant card design using the Hand In Hand Stamp Set from the March 2026 Kit of the Month.  If you want to create an easy and cute card for a wedding the Hand In Hand Stamp Set if perfect.  It has a super cute little illustration of a bride and groom standing in a field of flowers.  The stamp set also has some great sentiments as well.  But I had to create a quick and easy wedding card with some simple coloring to share with you today.

For today’s card I started out with a piece of smooth white cardstock that is alcohol marker friendly.  I stamped the image from the Hand In Hand Stamp Set just left of center onto the white cardstock and then stamped the sentiment I wanted to use for today’s card to the right of the focal image.  I stamped the image and sentiment in the same alcohol marker friendly ink because I knew I wanted to do some simple coloring using my alcohol markers.

Getting Started

To get started as I mentioned when I pull supplies to make some cards I like to stamped the main image and the sentiment onto a card front panel at one time while I have all the supplies out.  I will store the stamped panels in a container on one of my work stations.  That way when i want to make a quick card I can pull one of the card fronts and be ready to go.  Which is what I did with the Hand In Hand Stamp Set.  I stamped out some just plain images and some card fronts in different orientations.   So they are ready to go.

Keeping It Simple

Usually when I am making a quick card I like to keep the coloring simple as well. I will pull two colors from each color family of the alcohol markers I am using.  Usually a lighter and darker color that will blend easily.  I started coloring this card by coloring the bride first.

Coloring Process

I wanted to have an antique feel for the card; so I colored the wedding dress in a cream color combo. For this card I stayed with more of a pastel color scheme. I then moved on to coloring the groom, both of their hair and the ground and flowers. Since the veal is usually transparent I did add a little of the colors from her hair under the veal and added the cream color over top.  This pushed the hair color behind the veal back and the hair that wasn’t behind the veal stand out.  Once I had the focal image all colored the way I wanted it to be; I added some different size dots of the two light reds that I used on the card to add a little interest. The longer you hold the marker to the paper the bigger the dot you will create.

Finishing Touches

I did make sure to add different size dots to give the card more interest. Next I added a little shimmer to her dress and flicked on some liquid glitter as well.  I also added some small dots of some glitter glue around the couple as well. This helped add a little more elegance to the wedding card.  To add a little more elegance I also added a few pearls close to the sentiment.

Once I had all the elegant touches and coloring completed I cut the card front down to 3 3/4″ x 5″ and flipped it over and added some foam tape to the back of the card front.  I then added the card front onto a standard A2 card base cut from some gray cardstock.  So, that’s how I created this quick elegant wedding card using the Hand In Hand Stamp Set from the March 2026 Kit of the Month.

Zig clean color real brush watercolor with stamping

Hi friends, Gaylynn here.  For today on the blog, I am sharing tips on using Zig clean color real brush watercolor with stamping.

These watercolor marker brushes have a narrow brush tip which are perfect for small areas of color when you need more detail.  But they work for other projects as well.

In summary, this is one way to use Zig clean color real brush watercolor with stamping.  To begin, stamp onto watercolor cardstock in black hybrid ink or ink for use with watercolor.  I used a stamp positioning tool for a good impression.  Next, trim or die-cut the stamped panel and a frame layer.  Also, prepare an A2 sized card base in white.  Then, color in the sections, one color at a time and in small sections.  Finish small areas before moving onto the next flower, etc.  Next, use a water brush or a wet paint brush to move the color before it dries.  Also, heat set before moving to a new section or layer, especially if working on small details and different colors.  Finally, once dry, layer it all onto the card base with added gems, to finish.

2 step stamping on color cardstock ~ poppy flowers

Hi friends, Gaylynn here. Today we are creating a mini slimline card featuring poppy flowers with 2 step stamping on color cardstock.  These combine pretty Unity stamp sets.

This mini slimline poppy card overlaps the card base, but it fits great inside of an A2 sized envelope.

Helpful tips:
For this 2 step stamping on color cardstock project, begin by preparing a mini slimline card base in white.  Then, onto yellow cardstock, stamp two flower layers in two different colors.  Also, stamp the solid first and over that stamp the outline layer, for each flower in a darker ink color.  Next, trim (fussy cut) or die-cut the flowers.  Then, onto the card front, stamp small script a few times and hearts for background accents.  Also, trim the card base to fit inside the envelope.  Finally, using flat and foam double-sided tape, adhere the flowers, overlapping them slightly.  Optional, add gems for extra sparkle.

Two Step Stenciling ~ Chatty Hearts

Hi there friends, Gaylynn here. For today, I am sharing two step stenciling with hearts.  This was made using coordinating stamps and stencils with ink blending.

These chatty hearts can be used for more than Valentines.  Here, I made a wedding card with a mix of stamping, ink blending and patterned paper.

Helpful tips:
Here are helpful tips for making this card using two step stenciling.  To begin, prepare an A2 sized card base.  Then, trim or die-cut coordinating patterned paper layers and frames.  Also, die-cut bigger hearts using scraps from the patterned paper pieces.  Next, onto white cardstock, stencil the #1 hearts using kraft color ink blending, making note of where you placed the first stencil.  Then, using the #2 stencil, place it over the panel at the same place.  Add ink blending for those hearts in a different color.   Also, die-cut or trim the panel of blended hearts to fit the background pieces.  Next, stamp the two small sentiments inside of two of the hearts and also stamp and trim the bigger sentiment.  Finally, layer it all with glue, flat double-sided tape and cording, to finish.

2 Cards with 1 sheet of patterned paper & no coloring

Hello, it’s Gaylynn.  Today, I am sharing 2 cards with 1 sheet of patterned paper.  Plus no coloring is required for this card set.

These 2 cards with 1 sheet of patterned paper were easy to make.  However, the shaker part is optional but took a bit more time than the other card.

Helpful tips:
Here are helpful tips for creating 2 cards with 1 sheet of patterned paper.  To begin, prepare two A2 card bases.  Next, trim a sheet of patterned paper to fit the card front.  Also, die-cut a pink cover panel with hears for the second card background.  Then, die-cut a pink heart frame from pink card stock by nesting two of the heart dies.  Also, die-cut a heart onto the patterned paper with the smaller of the two heart dies used previously.  Next, stamp and trim sentiments.  Then, make a shaker panel for the heart window card using acetate, the frame, cut out hearts and sequins.  Assemble the shaker card.  Next, adhere the pink hearts cover panel to the second card base.  Also, adhere the leftover heart cut from the patterned paper.  Finally, layer the sentiments on each card, to finish.

 

This is the first card made shaker style.

Here is the second card using the pink hearts cover-up background.

2 Cards Using 1 Heart Die-Cut ~ Wedding or Love

Hello, it’s Gaylynn.  Today, I am sharing 2 cards using 1 heart die-cut using Copic coloring.  These cards were made for love, wedding, anniversary or engagement occasions.

Both of these love or wedding cards were quick and easy to make.  Using both of the die-cut pieces helped to make 2 cards using 1 heart die-cut.

Helpful tips:

Here are helpful tips for making these 2 cards using 1 heart die-cut.  To begin, stamp and color the flowers and the sentiment onto an A2-sized piece of white cardstock.  Next, die-cut using the largest heart over a piece of cream or ivory cardstock, A2 size.  You should have one heart cut out with another leftover panel with an open heart window.   Then, die-cut the congrats sentiment out from gold or color cardstock.  And, die-cut the falling hearts background on white. 
For the congrats card, adhere the background to the card base with glue and then place the big heart over that using foam tape.  Also, place the congrats sentiment and gems to finish. 
For the floral card, carefully layer the heart window panel over the flower panel using foam tape. Finally, adhere that over the card base along with gems, to finish.

Happy day poppies celebration gold foil CAS card tutorial

Hello, it’s Gaylynn.  Today, I am sharing a gold foil CAS card with a poppy flower and accents.

This is a great gold foil CAS card for celebrating a wedding, bridal shower, birthday or other celebration occasions.  It shimmers beautifully.

Helpful tips:
These are helpful tips for making this gold foil CAS card.  To begin, prepare the flower stamping for foiling.  I like to heat emboss the stamping prior to foiling but use the foiling method that you like best.  Then, sandwich the stamping and the foil pretty side up between parchment paper and then run through a pre-heated laminator.  Next, trim or die-cut a small background panel for the flower.  I dry embossed that panel, optional.  Then, stamp and die-cut the sentiment and hearts.  Next, add color to the top outline flower, using distress ink and ink blending brushed.  Also, fussy cut (cut out) the flower pieces.  Finally, layer it all onto the card front along with embellishment, to finish.
