Happy Friday! It’s Jules of Paper Gems by Jules back on the Unity Blog sharing a little idea to help make use of some of that beautiful pattered paper we have in our stash. Today’s blog is featuring the new November 2020 Sentiment Kit: It’s a Mug Hug. This adorable stamp set has a beautiful tall glass of sweetness and 15 sentiments! That’s a lot of huggable stamps!
As I was cleaning out my craft room, I found this left over paper pad with some pastel colors. There were only 5 sheets, but why toss it when I can just use it! So I picked two sheets and matched the colors in the paper to Copic markers (R14, R22, R20 & R00).
For the coloring of the cup, I used dots for additional shadowing. This is also known as stippling (in case you want to see other ways on Pinterest). Once the image was colored and die cut out, I used dots of green and a green blue (YG63, G21 & BG72) on the border to compliment another set of colors on the patterned paper.
Because layering these would be pretty simple, I added some rose gold metallic paper to back both pattered papers. A little foam tape under some of the layers add a little dimension. And some Copic colored enamel dots complete this card.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you find some inspiration and some use for all that pretty paper! Don’t forget to share your projects on the Unity {Show & Tell} Facebook page and on Instagram with a #unitystampco.
Until next time… Happy Crafting!
Jules
