Hello friends! This is Sandhya bringing you your Tuesday’s dose of inspiration. Have you made your Father’s Day card yet? Masculine cards always intimidate me and I tend to push them out to the last minute. But the super fun Barbecue King stamp set designed by Graciellie Designs came to my rescue this time. This is a really fun stamp set and I enjoyed coloring it.
Card Details
I started by stamping out the barbecue charcoal grill, tongs, and food with Copic friendly ink on Neenah Solar White 80lb super smooth cardstock. I colored them up with Copic markers and fussy cut them out. Actually, I used my Brother Scan ‘n’ Cut to cut them out… ha ha…a bit too lazy to do the fussy cutting. But these shapes are simple enough to cut without a digital cutting machine.
Next, I stamped the Vintage Burlap background stamp on a piece of cream cardstock using red ink. I also stamped the sentiment with black ink and trimmed it down. Finally, I placed the stamped background on a white A2 card base at a slanting angle and cut off the excess. I assembled the card by adding the grill and food items. Then, I used liquid adhesive in some areas and foam tape to pop up others. I also matted the sentiment strip with red cardstock and added it to my card.
