Vintage Naturalist, Whit kit
Happy Saturday crafters! Echo here with a video tutorial using the Vintage Naturalist, Whit-kit. It’s the September card kit. One of the four fantastic memberships available. All such great value. I can’t choose a favorite. That’s like picking a favorite child. It’s not possible. Whitney knocked it out of the park this month. Strap in because I couldn’t put this kit down and I made so many samples using this months card kit. It seriously is my all time favorite kit.
What’s inside the September Whit-kit?
Can you believe you get all that for only $40.

September Vintage Naturalist, Whit-kit card kit
It was so fun to stamp directly onto the patterned paper. No coloring involved. Usually I love coloring but sometimes is nice to not hassle with it. The detail you get from red rubber is just unmatched! I loved all the layering options in this kit. The paper pack is phenomenal and paired with eupherma, it just kicked it up a notch. So much fun to create with.
I had so fun designing these cards. For the first one cared. I simply stamped the tree ring onto some of the patterned paper. Ink blended the edges and ripped the bottom. Then I took a piece of the eupherma and ink blended the edges and crumpled it up to give it a distressed look. I splattered it with some diluted teal paint. Added some more eupherma pieces. I inked the wood flourish (Amazing mini wood flourishes) with distress oxide ink peacock feathers to match the card. Let the ink dry a bit before gluing to the card.
For the second card I die cut some of the patterned paper. Then I stamped the mushroom right onto the euphemra and colored with Copic markers. Ink blended (distress ink in cracked pistachio) and distressed the edges. I took the scrap from the first card and die cut it with the deckle ruler and ink blended the edges in vintage photo. Layered it all on a kraft card base and added the mini wood flourish.
I also made some cards with just coloring and ink blending. This stamp kit is so versatile. It looks great colored or just simply stamped
Foiling or embossing the tree ring gives a lot of interest to the card design.
Simple stamping and distressing adds texture to the card design.
