Welcome back to another inspirational post for the Wild and Wonderful June challenge of the month on the Unity Blog. Today I am sharing a pair of Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) using wild little things from the So Mushroom stamp kit. I added background stamping using elements from Soul Mail and Eiffel Grunge. You can find these goodies and a refreshed list of stamps on sale at Unity Stamp Company.
Wild and Wonderful ATCs
I started by trimming 2 ATC bases measuring 2.5″ X 3.5″ out of Bristol smooth cardstock. Then, I inked around the edges using Vintage Photo and Rusty Hinge Distress Inks. Next, I stamped my wild creature center stage and added several fun stamps from Soul Mail and Eiffel Grunge stamp sets to randomly stamp over the background. Once I was happy I set the 2 bases aside.
I then took a piece of Canson XL watercolor paper and created an ink smooshed background using Distress Spray Stains (Carved Pumpkin and SaltwaterTaffy). Then, I trimmed to pieces measuring 2″X3″ out of this background. Next, I used a circle die to cut out a circle window in this piece.
I added stamping and inked around the edges before attaching this window panel over the ATC base with foam tape. Then, I added my sentiment strips and tried to embellish further with a little paper clip and a bulldog clip.
Thank You
