Hello and welcome. Today, I am sharing a way to make a masculine guy card with torn edges. This was also hand stamped to create the border accent.
The sentiment can be changed out to work with other occasions like Father’s Day, birthdays and more. This was made to work for a spouse.
Sentiment: Hey Stud.
Helpful Tips:
In summary, to create this masculine guy card with torn edges, prepare an A2 sized card base. I used white but kraft color would look fantastic as well. Also, splatter the front of the card base using gold distress paint. Then, onto separate pieces of white cardstock stamp the guy with sentiment and the square frame. I used gold metallic ink for the square and sentiment stamping and sprayed it with a workable fixative to set the frame stamping. Next, make a rustic border. Hand stamp a background burlap pattern over a longer piece of white cardstock. Repeat all around the panel randomly using kraft color ink. Then, tear the edges back and form on the panel edges. Also, add distress ink blending plus direct ink pad swipes to the torn areas. Optional, add distressed and colored torn paper edges as accents. Finally, layer the border, the frame, the guy and torn pieces to the card base, to finish.
This is another look.
I made a video tutorial for this project.
