Happy Tuesday friends! Crystal here with my third installment of Christmas in July Series for my Color Combos with Crystal. (If you missed the first one, click HERE , Episode 2 HERE ) We will beat the Christmas card making rush by starting in July with some fresh and fun ideas! I am so excited to be sharing this card made with Conspiracy of Love and this super fun DIY background using Baby Boy Plaid.
If you have not seen either of these sets yet, you should definitely check it out; I absolutely love the way ability to make a festive plaid background.
On my project for this post, I started out with white card base, as it makes the plaid colors really stand out.
Let me tell you how I made this:
- Trim a white card base.
- Using a MISTI set the Baby Boy Plaid stamp and stamp with red ink the white card front.
- Clean the stamp move the card base slightly up and to the left and ink up the stamp with Moss ink.
- Now, with a piece of kraft cardstock, stamp the tree from Conspiracy of Love using a brown 17ink.
- Then stamp sentiment.
- Place the kraft cardstock over the plaid.
- Using Nuvo drops in red, green and gold glitter. Make drops to create ornaments,
I of course made a video for this card! So please press play and let me know your thoughts! I love seeing your creations on the Unity Show and Tell. Be sure to tag me so I can see it <3
