Scrapbooking layout

Friends Who Laugh in Flowers

Happy Friday friends!  This is Julissa of Paper Gems by Jules and today I’m sharing a scrapbook layout using the new Laughs in Flowers stamp set designed by Ann Corbiere-Scott.  This beautiful, giant floral stamp is perfect for slimline cards, but I decided to go bigger and did a 8.5″ x 11″ scrapbook layout.

The photo in this layout was from the 2019 Junkie Fest.  If you’ve never heard of Junkie Fest, it was an amazing even (pre-pandemic) that allowed so many crafters to come together to learn from some of great ones!  This is where my little dream of meeting the awesome people of Unity Stamp Company came true! ❤️

I travelled across the country with my friend, Cindy… she’s my crafty enabling travel buddy!  She’s the pretty lady on the far left.  We had such a great time in the Unity class learning about mixed media tags and even did a fun light up card!  These ladies and Nic were so kind, funny and oh so creative!  It’s no wonder we all love them so much!

This giant floral image was a great way to highlight this beautiful moment in my crafty life.  And I love that Unity has their own die, so I had to add it!  I’ll have this framed in my craft room to remind of all the amazing people I’ve been so fortunate to cross paths with!

I hope that you all have crafty dreams that come true and that you get to make crafty friends all over the world that will inspire you to create and smile!

Until next time… Happy Crafting!

HELLO! Uniquely Unity Reminder

Happy Friday—WE made it! Yes!

Today I’m sharing an 8-1/2-x-11-inch scrapbook layout I created using this month’s Uniquely Unity stamp set, “Hello My Dear Friend.”

I decided to pair this elegant set with a photo of my daughters from last weekend. It was my youngest daughter, Gwen’s, first Winter Formal dance of high school. Gwen is on the right. Brandi, my oldest daughter, jumped in for a picture wearing the dress she wore to her Winter Formal when she was in high school. I was smitten with the photo.

Somewhere . . . somewhere I have an original photo of the two of them from Brandi’s dance when Gwen was just a wee little thing posing with her big sister. I’m hoping to scrap it with this one someday, kind of a cute side-by-side comparison/then-and-now kinda thing. What do you think? I’d love to hear some feedback.

Here’s a close-up of the layout.

TIP: You can fussy cut a sentiment if you just need one of the words for your project. “Hello” was fussy cut from the sentiment that’s in this month’s Uniquely Unity set.

Here’s just a peek at this month’s lovely Uniquely Unity set.

The Uniquely Unity kit is going for only $14.99/month!

SMAK Saturday… WANDERLUST

Hello welcome to SMAK Saturday
Angie Blom here with a scrapbook layout
using the July SMAK kit  “WANDERLUST”
I just adore all the fun elements in this kit.
to check out on how to become a member go to the link below.
Membership UNITY  SMAK kit.
Using just black ink I layered some of the images in to a piece
of 8.5 x 11 white card stock.. I love just using the stamps and layering them
on to each other to create a background.
Then adding watercolor to the flowers and parts of the background.
getting some American Crafts  papers and cutting different shapes out .

I am using a 9 x 12 spiral bound  sketch book to add all my layouts in.
I got this one from our local dollar store.
I am loving how it is all looking, something different instead of
using a scrapbook album.

Only days until this kit changes to the August SMAK.. so if you want to grab this as your first
kit as a new membership go sign up..
here is a sneak peek of August.
You are going to just love these!!

Another Banner Day

Happy Tuesday!
Shellye here to share a couple of projects created
by myself and Thienly Azim for the
Unity-Susan Weckesser-Helmar Blog Hop
I have to say that Jen Roach’s adorable banner/tree card (from yesterday)
is a hard act to follow!  If you missed her card, be sure to scroll on down a bit 🙂
I created a 12×12 layout using the Susan Weckesser
patterned paper and banner stamps
{See all of Susan Weckesser Stamps right here}
I cut out a few elements from one of the patterned papers
I turned this lined banner stamp into a journaling spot!
And a project wouldn’t be a project with adding loads of dimension…
what better way than with Helmar’s Zapdots!

Thienly has crafted a stunning canvas collage with us today…
isn’t this absolutely gorgeous!?!

As you can see, there are so many ways to use these grand stamps
on almost any project…from home decor to layouts to cards!

Now, don’t forget to check out the
HELMAR BLOG & Facebook Page…

AND, don’t forget to leave a comment right here
(and each day of the hop)

Introducing July’s Guest Designer—Jennifer Roach

Hello Unity Friends!  Jennifer Roach here and I’m THRILLED to be the guest designer for Unity Stamp Co. this month!!

For those of you who don’t know me, I live in Ontario, Canada with my husband and almost three (as she says LOL!) year old daughter.  I’m a scientist by day and a crafter by night!  I’ve been a long time fan of Unity Stamps and I’m excited to share some inspiring projects with you this month.

I’m a totally random kind of scrapper — I just scrap whatever inspires in what ever order I feel like.  So today I have a Halloween layout to share with you that I created using Samantha Walker’s Halloween Traditions set, the May Kit of the Month and the Simple Stories year.o.graphy Oct. stamp.  Last weekend I bought a “grab bag” of Fancy Pants papers from a local discount store and as soon as I looked at the Halloween papers I knew exactly what I wanted to do.

I used the polaroid frame from the May Kit of the Month to frame my photos.  (I cropped my photos in Photoshop to fit into the frames).  What I love about these frames is that you can customize them anyway you want with some stamps on the bottom.  Here I used a “trick or treat” sentiment” and some pumpkins from the Samantha Walker set.  I matted them onto some striped paper to blend them a bit better with the background paper.  I hope you like those polaid frame stamps as much as me because you’ll very probably see another layout with them this month LOL!

For the bottom corner of the layout I created my own accents using some more stamps on some orange patterned paper.  I stamped the spider web background onto the orange paper and cut them into flags and matted on black cardstock.  Then I also stamped the journalling box onto the same paper, cut out and added the date stamp.  Believe it or not this layout only uses TWO sheets of paper…one of which is the background!  As you can see you can do a lot using your stamps and limited patterned papers!

Looking forward to sharing more of my work this month! —Jennifer
