Hee Haw… You Did It!

It’s graduation season and Hee Haw, Unity’s got you covered!  The new “Hee Haw.. You Did It“ stamp set is perfect for all those smarty pants graduating.  With some fun sentiments, you’ll definitely get a good laugh with these stamps.

I paired this cute donkey with the new “Grad Party” paper pack. This particular pattern is my favorite because it creates a great scene.

I fussy cut the donkey and used a die for the sentiment and then adhered them with foam tape for dimension.

And if you’re giving a wrapped gift or gift bag, use the “Make-a-Tag” die set with the matching paper and pair these two for the perfect graduation gift!

Masculine Beer Slimline Card ~ Ink Blending

Hi friends.  Gaylynn here. This is a fun card for the men in our life.  I made this masculine beer slimline card with stamping, ink blending and a background die-cut.

This is great for a birthday, congratulations, a Dad card, Father’s Day, etc.

Sentiment:  You’ve earned a cold one.

Helpful tips:
To make this fun masculine beer slimline card, begin by preparing a slimline card base.  Then stamp the beer cans and then fussy cut them (cut out).  Next, add two shades of distress ink blending in different colors for all three beer cans.  Then, stamp and trim or die-cut the sentiment.  Also, add a background from patterned paper or a die-cut.  I used a diagonal diecut in black.  First, I added a piece of double-sided adhesive sheet behind the black paper before cutting the background.  That was peeled away for panel placement on the card.  Finally, layer the rest onto the card base, to finish.
Cut the slimline 9 1/4″ x 8″, or trim to your envelope size.
Score at 4″ on the shorter end.
Use a business size or slimline envelope

Set of Baby Cards – boy & girl congrats

Hello everyone. Gaylynn here.  Today, I am sharing a set of baby cards, one for a boy and one for a girl.  They coordinate in style.  Plus, this is a sneak peek of something new coming soon at Unity Stamp Company.

These were quick and easy to make, all in one setting.

Helpful tips:
To make this set of baby cards, begin by trimming two card bases and background paper.  Then, stamp the boy and girl scenes using alcohol friendly ink.  Next, trim or die-cut the stamped card front.  Also, add color to the stamping.  I used Copic markers, but use whatever you like for color.  Then, stamp, color and fussy cut the bear.  Using foam tape, add the bear to the baby boy card.  Finally, layer all of the pieces onto the card base using flat double-sided tape or glue to finish.

And now for the baby boy card. This one has a teddy bear in the stamp set.

Congratulations on the arrival of your sweet boy.

Scrap Paper 3 Ways – Card, Tag & Envelope Liner

Hi there, it’s Gaylynn.  Welcome.  Thank you for visiting.  Today, I show how to use scrap paper 3 ways.  It is a coordinating gift set including a greeting card, a gift tag and an envelope with a matching liner.

Now, go check out your scrapbook paper stash and also the 12×12 paper pads.  You will find treasures perfect to make a set like this.  This sheet is patterned vellum, but most paper works.

Helpful tips:
Here are the steps to easily use scrap paper 3 ways from 12×12 paper pads and more.  To begin, prepare an A2 sized card base in white.  Mine is a top fold base.  Then, trim a piece of patterned paper to fit at a diagonal on your card base. Next, from the same paper sheet, trim a rectangle to fit inside of an A2 sized envelope.  Also, score a fold line just under the envelope adhesive to the envelope fold line.  Cuts and scoring will depend on your envelope measurements and folds.  Then, using the same sheet, die-cut or trim a layered gift tag.  Lastly, add sentiments to the tag and the card using what you have, including optional stamping, ephemera, Cricut cuts, embellishments & more.  Finally, adhere and layer it all, to finish.

Baby congrats card with balloon stenciling

Hello, Gaylynn here. It is all about baby congratulations today with balloon stenciling.  This is a set of cards to send congrats to Mom and Dad for themes like baby shower, expecting or new baby.

Layered stenciling made this card come to life.  I kept the colors light and great for a boy or girl.

Oh baby!  Congrats.

Helpful tips:

In summary, to make this sweet baby card with balloon stenciling, begin each by preparing an A2 sized card base.  Then, onto smooth white cardstock, mark your placement for both stencil layers.  Next, using 2 or three colors, stencil one of the layers onto the white cardstock.  Also, stencil again using the second layered stencil over the previous balloons, noting the mark for placement. (The stencils include a small square to help mark placement.)  Then, stamp the baby sentiment onto one of the balloons.  Also, stamp and trim a flag layer for the congrats sentiment.  Finally, layer and frame the balloons onto a white card base with added cording, to finish.

Watercolor graduation cap wobble card.

Hello and welcome, Gaylynn here. Here is another project for the Unity blog. I have a watercolor graduation wobble card with a bit of humor.  This one was made simple for a guy or gal.

For this card, I only used the cap at the stamp focus along with a fun sentiment.

Sentiment:  Nice hat.  Congrats.

Helpful tips:
For this project, begin by preparing an A2 sized card base in white.  Also, onto the smooth side of the watercolor cardstock, stamp the grad cap full stamp.  Next, add your choice of loose watercolor to the cap only.  Then, add light gray shading around the cap stamping.  (I used a watered-down black watercolor to get the light gray shade.)  Once dry, fussy cut (cut out) the cap.  Next, onto the card base, lightly stencil a background.  I chose a sunburst pattern.  Also, over the stenciling, pop up the grad hat using an action wobble spring for an interactive element.  Then, stamp the sentiments onto patterned paper and trim or die-cut a sentiment panel.  Finally, layer the sentiment panel, to finish.

Gold heat embossing & watercolor congratulations card

Hi friends, it’s Gaylynn.  Today, I am showing a gold heat embossing & watercolor together for a congratulations card.  It has a stained glass look to it.

I used three stamp kits for this including the large floral background stamp.


Sentiment:
Congratulations.
Hooray for you!

Helpful tips:
In summary, to make this card using gold heat embossing & watercolor, begin by preparing an A2-sized card base in white.  Then, onto the smooth side of watercolor cardstock, stamp the background in watermark ink.  Also, stamp the sentiments in dark purple ink.    Next, add gold embossing powder and heat set for shiny gold embossing.  Also, trim or die-cut the background card layer.  For watercolor, mix the desired colors and then color in the embossed stamping.  Allow the colors to blend together where they meet.  Once dried, assemble the card layers, sentiments and accents onto the card base, to finish.  Optional, add colored butterflies or accents.
